Thieves pinch rifles as Kenyan police watch Champions League football

The temptation to watch UEFA Champions League quarter-finals football on TV both featuring Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo backfired for some Kenya policemen when thieves raided their unmanned post and made off with weaponry.
The incident occurred on Tuesday night after the officers shut down the Kamorwon police post in a western region of Kenya and went in search of a TV screen.

Workers save dog spotted more than 100 miles off Thailand coast

A Thai animal rescue group welcomed a dog who was rescued nearly 220 kilometers (136 miles) from shore Monday.

The dog, named Boonrod - a Thai word which roughly translates to "the saved one" - was brought to shore for a health check after being found dehydrated and yalla shoot hungry by workers on an oil rig on Friday.
